A Short Story Of My Life...

I’ve always felt that I’ve got something important to do. Now or in the future, I’m still not sure.
Some people might say that I just feel the destiny calling, but that’s not it. Destiny is something you can’t control, and I, on the other hand, feel that I’ll have to make some really difficult choices when the time comes, and that will only lead me to more choices. What I’m trying to say is that I strongly believe that I fit very well on God’s plan, but still, He has set me free.

I’ve always thought about this. In fact, that’s what I am, a thinker. I remember that when I was just a little boy I used to think about things that no other kid at that age usually cares. Sometimes I still feel that way. Some other times I just think I’m quite stupid for thinking about what I’ll do in two, three, or five years, forgetting sometimes about the present, the ‘right now’.

I feel really bad about this most of the time. I want to change the world, and I want to change it now!... But I can’t, and that hurts. That’s why I’ve had some kind of plan since, well, actually just a few years ago, and it constantly changes. But everything that I’ve done and am doing has a motive.

I think one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was at the age of four. At that time, I didn’t have much to do, so I only cared about having a good time and trying to be as nice as I could. I remember that every Saturday Claudio and Lucía (my older brothers) went to Scout, and always came back with a smile on their faces. I wanted that, and I got it. I started investing my weekends on the Scout Movement at five, and I’ve never regreted it. It has given me a lot of hard moments and tears, but a lot more of friends, joys, laughs and other experiences of all kind. It started to make me who I am nowadays.

Another thing, person, that I’ve always had, is God. Actually, I’ve always had God, but I didn’t want to hear Him for a few years. I liked Curch a lot since I was born until I was eleven or twelve. Then, my teenage life came to shock me. But when I was fourteen, I felt Jesus once more inside me and inside my friends, and other new friends. Then, exactly the same thing that had happened with Scout happened again with Church. But, of course, that wasn’t it.

School was always strange for me. Unlike what happens to other kids, I didn’t have true friends at school. My most beloved friends simply weren’t there. That caused me a lot of uncomfortable and sad moments. But, it made me strong. It helped me become a better person, and I grew. Around thirteen I could honestly say I had a few real friends in school, and those same friends are still close. But, again, that’s not all.

The most important people I’ve had, the ones I love the most, are definetely my brothers, my sister and my mum. No one has tought me and supported me as they have. I always say (and I always will) that they’re the best I have, the best of me. On the other hand, I don’t get on well with my dad. But I don’t like talking about that. It’s enough to say that he, indirectly, has made me strong too.

So far, I’m having a hard, and at the same time great life. I wonder every day about what is that something I’ll take part someday. I think I’m going to finish college and have a good job. I’d also like to meet a good girl, marry her, and have a family, though I know I still have time for that. I also want to keep my friends and make more of them. And I believe I’m going to change a few lives, at least. But truly, only one thing is for sure: who I’ve become, who I am, still has a long road to walk...

Or maybe that’s just what I think...

Siempre he pensado sobre ésto.
